JaMor Hairston, a Ph.D. student working with us, has been elected as the Student Director of the AMIA Board of Directors. Starting January 2024, JaMor will serve a one-year term in this new role, advocating for and representing the AMIA student body!

Our postdoctoral fellow Sudeshna Das has been selected as the Women Breakthrough Award winner for Gender Mainstreaming by Falling Walls and Elsevier Foundation. She is one of four awardees for the year 2023, selected from 82 candidates from 39 countries.
